ALIKANAS
Alikanas (or Alykanas) is a sandy beach south of Alykes bay in a distance of 19 km from Zakynthos town. It has smaller, sandy bays with less tourism and therefore offers calmness. The region has some tourist development, but the nature of the scenery is untouched. A nearby beach is Amoudi, which is worth visiting.
It is at Alikanas where Mycenean vessels have been found, and which many believe is one of the most likely sites for the ancient town of Arcadia.
